When we were checking in for our flight they asked us to check our carry on baggage because they didn't have enough room on board. We said that was fine not thinking much of it. When we got our bags back at our destination we saw that one of our carry ons had been broken. The handle no longer went up and down and there was a massive slash in the side of the case. This was a brand new suitcase. So of course when we were getting on our return flight and they asked to check our "carry on" luggage we explained the situation and that we didn't want to check our bags if they couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't be damaged. They were not very accommodating and still required us to check our "carry on" luggage. When we got on the plane it was obvious that there was plenty of space for our luggage. We definitely will not be flying with them again. It's better to stick with more accountable airlines like Turkish.
