MD80 Bellingham to Vegas - return. These planes are getting a little bit too old for my comfort. The plane was sitting at the gate for a few hours before we departed. We got on (a half hour before departure time) taxied to the runway then back to the gate. They said a gauge issue. I didn't see anybody repair anything BUT the fuel truck did pump fuel for ten minutes onto the plane. Hmmm? Experienced all kinds of noises I've never heard on any other flight ever. Leaving Vegas another hour delay and the fuel truck hooked back up to the right wing again! (same plane)
