Delta Air Lines review by Jacquelyn 2016-01-21

I don't usually write any reviews but I feel that my family was unjustly treated that I need to share my experience. I recently traveled with two dogs who were being transported to their owner who had been stationed in Afghanistan for 6 months (my sister). After checking in & calling Delta daily for two weeks (given that this was a very important trip), ensuring there was space for animals on the plane and knowing that the aircraft we were traveling on only takes 2 large dogs, Delta erroneously overbooked the flight with 6 dogs, & then bumped my family's flight because we were not medallion members and the other passengers with dogs were. After explaining the circumstances around the importance of a timely & as-planned travel & this was for a military person & expressed that we checked in daily to ensure space, Delta still bumped us over the others with dogs taking all 4 other dogs, even though we checked in our dogs FIRST AT THE AIRPORT. I am extremely disappointed around how Delta handled this. This delay put the dogs under unnecessary & inhumane stress, & made this homecoming an incredibly stressful one for military families serving this country. I would not fly Delta again.
