Unacceptable racism by crew including the Captain. My wife and I were flying from Dallas to Los Angeles to connect to further international flights. We were in first class, booked and paid. We were seated with seat belts on awaiting departure when I overheard a flight crew member sneer and laugh at “the Australians in row 2”. I asked him to refer to us by our name and not our race. He objected to my request. He told the other crew members, the ground manager and the captain. Subsequently we were required to leave the aircraft. We were placed in an alternate flight with cheap seats. At no stage did I raise my voice, use foul language or do anything physical. But just my requesting to be referred to by my name rather than race meant both of us had to leave aircraft.
