Jetstar review by Christina 2016-07-11

Appalling experience! Jetstar is an absolute joke of an airline company. Please read it till the end, so you don't book a flight with Jetstar just because they have cheap tickets. After arriving on time and half way through checking in at Sydney Airport, I was refused entry on the plane after being told that I had just made it on time and confirmed for the second time with Jet Star staff. Moments later, I was told that I would not be boarding the plane due to the plane being “over-booked, with no seats available”. Once directed to the service desk, I was told that I was “three minutes late” and as a result would not be able to board, this was not the case as we had arrived 40 minutes before departure. Coincidentally, the earlier 6:00am flight from Sydney to Melbourne was cancelled and this meant that passengers had boarded the next flight to Melbourne at 7:00am resulting to a “fully booked out flight”. The issue escalated when I was accused for being late and I was blamed for missing the flight. I was outraged as we were informed from another co-worker that it was initially “over-booked”. I was then informed that the next available flight would be a 9:55pm flight to Avalon.Pathetic
