Air Canada review by G. 2015-07-20

We flew Air Canada from FRA to YYC (Calgary) and back and Air Canada Rouge YYC to LAX and back for that leg of our trip which spanned June-July 2015. The trip from Frankfurt to Calgary went well and flight attendants were courteous and willing to service customers. You get what you pay for, so we were not expecting extra perks with this fare class. Despite this legroom was just adequate and meals/drinks were acceptable. The entertainment was limited, but flight status viewer with maps was an extra plus. Unruly travellers without control of their children was the only downside and passengers had left their areas looking like a pig pen after the flight. No wonder flight attendants can sometimes seem cynical! The flight back to Frankfurt from Calgary was ok, but flight attendants were less alert and the entertainment system (we had emergency exit seating for extra leg room), even the flight status screen was not working and the attendant would not even check into restarting the system. Food was ok. The pilot provided extremely little information about the status of our flight. We also used Air Canada Rouge for the YYC - LAX leg. Despite reviews, we had not problems. Service was ok.
