Unorganized chaos! Spent 7 hours at Proserpine waiting for and engineer to drive from Townsville (easy 3 hours drive if that) to spend 24 seconds on replacing a blown light bulb. After we were grounded and returned to the gate Jetstar provided us with an $8 voucher. To put it into perspective a toasted ham and cheese sandwich at the cafe (the one and only outlet) was $8.50. A flavored 500ml milk drink (I will not "DARE" to mention the brand here) is $6.95. We had to wait from 9 am until 16.15 when we were able to return to the plain. There were a number of passengers that had to get up at 5 am to catch this flight. First we were told that we will be on our way at 2pm. All Jetstar staff disappeared after 11. We did not get any updates until I called the airline customer service after 2.30 to see if they can provide further information. The staff was must unhelpful and unpleasant. When the staff finally returned to the their desk they were arrogant with no useful information what so ever. I will never fly with jetstar again.
