Fantastic service Airasia - NOT!!! My wife was booked Penang via Kuala Lumpur to Gold Coast. On arrival at Penang she found an horrendous queue for the self check-in kiosks. She was at that stage on time for her flight. One of then 3 kiosks then crashed leaving only 2 online. The was a further mixup with Malaysia Air passengers confusing the airasia checkin for Malaysia Air and adding to the congestion. No airasia staff were present to sort out the mess. When my wife finally reached a checkin staff she was told that the flight was still open but she was directed to another counter. On arrival was told the flight was closed. She then was told that she had to rebook and pay for new flights. On arrival KL she was hours before her original flight. She travelled on her original flight and therefore was double booked. Airasia resold both the Penang-KL.and KL- Gold Coast tickets. No way was my wife at fault for missing flights. No way should airasia reap double dipping on tickets when the fault was theirs. Their answer: Because the flights were through booked all fares were lost. I am not letting this go. I have been a regular airasia traveller but this is terrible. Next step for me is me
