Booked a one day trip from lax to Detroit, first flight being a red eye and planning to sleep on the plane, then return next evening. First flight was delayed over two hours, and when we finally got moving found there was no way for me to sleep because of the lack of leg room and the fact that the seats didn’t recline (at all!). Did a days business in Detroit, then waited seven hours before they finally cancelled the return flight ( reason: no available co-pilot). I then stood in line for over 3.5 hours trying to find a way back home. At this point I had not slept for 40 hrs, no food for 12, and looking at being in the same clothes for three days. Was too tired to even complain much. They offered $99 for a hotel,$7 food voucher, and a return flight more than a day later. i asked for consideration, they said we’re getting you home that’s your consideration. Never said sorry. I had a job I needed to return for the next day and am out over $800 plus addl lax parking fees. not to mention a tortured chunk of my life. A guy could go broke and lose their health using this “low cost” airline. Never again.
