    Buyer Beware

    If you need reliability around a scheduled service, Malindo makes significant timing changes at will (48 hour variations).

    Refund policies means that the airline holds on to your cash for 90 days which constraints your ability to make another booking with the passenger’s cash

    2015 experience – MID-TRIP
    =============
    1st Flight with Malindo was exceptionally good – 5 stars – on time, competitive, biz class was wonderful. Sector : KUL to TRV
    2nd Flight – 0 Stars – Sector : TRV to KUL Delayed – overnight stay in TRV; missed onward flight and repurchased a ticket (of another airline)

    for June 2016 – AHEAD OF TRIP
    =============
    3rd Flight – 0 Stars (the journey is over 2 months away) Sector : SIN==>KUL==>TRV – 3 times the flight has been re-timed – by 48 hours
    4th Flight – Sector TRV==>KUL re-time by 24 hours

    My verdict is that on this sector between Kuala Lumpur and Thiruvananthapuram :

    a) the airline is experimenting to the detriment of passengers
    b) the airline will hold on to your money for 90 days if a refund is initiated due to Malindo changes and cancellations (away from your confirmed booking/timings)
