REX is spreading its wings and launching new jet routes adding Adelaide and the Gold Coast to its network which takes-off today (March 1) between Melbourne and Sydney. The expansion is part of the airline’s plans to connect all capital cities including Perth this year. The additional routes will connect Melbourne with both and Adelaide and the Gold Coast while Sydney will get a service to the Gold Coast. Tickets for the twice-daily services are available for booking from 9.00am Monday March 1, and start at $69 for economy and $299 for business class for the Melbourne to Adelaide route and the Sydney to Gold Coast service. Melbourne to the Gold Coast tickets will start from $79 for economy and $349 for business class.
All bookings on Rex’s network have a COVID-19 refund guarantee that gives a full refund if the trip has to be cancelled due to border closures or travel restrictions. Rex, will operate all these routes with its Boeing 737-800NG aircraft which are configured for 176 economy and eight business class seats. Passengers get a full service including light refreshments and a baggage entitlement of 23kg of checked baggage. REX has a major regional network and in WA operates to Albany, Esperance, Monkey Mia and Carnarvon.
