Riyadh Air 787 Arrives At The Paris Air Show

Resplendent in its stunning livery a Rijadh Air Boeing 787 touched down in Paris ahead of the air show which starts Monday, June 19,

The new airline from Saudi Arabia will fly to more than 100 destinations by 2030 making Riyadh a new hub for global travel and encouraging tourists to visit the Kingdom for business and leisure.

Riyadh Air will tap and number of dynamics;

The Saudi land mass is half the size of Western Europe and the distance between Riyadh and Jeddah is similar as from London to Rome, meaning there is significant scope for another national carrier.
With more than 35M people living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there is considerable potential from the domestic market for international travel; which is a unique point for the region.
By 2023 the population of Riyadh alone is expected to double from 8 to 15 million people.
60% of the world’s population is within 8 hours of flying time to Riyadh.

The aircraft is on static display at the air show, allowing visitors to view the unique indigo aircraft livery. It is one of two aircraft liveries that Riyadh Air will introduce.

 Riyadh City is rapidly becoming a major player in global business and the rapid Saudi economic growth, which is targeted to be in the top 10 globally by 2030, is outperforming other major economies.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has many developing tourist sites, such as Al Ula, Diryah, and Qiddiyah, and the national airline will make the Kingdom more accessible whilst positioning Riyadh City as a global leader in aviation excellence.  

The airline is a significant catalyst for the Kingdom’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the National Tourism Strategy by leveraging the Kingdom’s strategic location connecting the 3 continents of Asia, Africa and Europe. It is chaired by the governor of the Public Investment Fund, His Excellency Yassir Al-Ramayyan with Tony Douglas CEO at the helm.

It aims to reach 100 million visitations to Saudi Arabia by 2030 by bringing travellers from around the world to do business and visit the tourist destinations such as Neom, Diryah and the Red Sea.
