An exciting new AirlineRatings app combines in one unique package the latest in airline news and features with the ability to use safety as a criterion for booking flights. The world is at your fingertips thanks to the power of leading global booking portal Skyscanner and our smart flight location tool that automatically identifies the airport closest to you. An industry first allows passengers to prioritize their safety, and that of their loved ones, by using the app to filter a booking using airline safety ratings. The safety rating for each airline is based on a comprehensive analysis utilizing information from the world’s aviation governing body and leading airline association along with governments and crash data. Each airline has the potential to earn seven stars based a series of factors such as whether it has been fatality-free for 10 years.
