The Flight Attendants were so cruel and wicked. They showed no respect like normal flight attendants. When you ask them something, they talk to you with altitude. It was like they were hired to work in the mines.

They changed my flight with no notice and gave me no option for a refund or to pick a different flight. When I contacted them about it they basically told me that they're allowed to change my flight without any notice and it's not their responsibility to make sure I get home.

I am from Texas and had personal business in Maryland and chose Spirit due to shortest flight duration (layovers/changes) and short notice costs. I did take advantage of their seat upgrade bidding and was very pleased! I I had two flights there and two flights back, less than one hour between going both ways and only one flight incurred a short delay that did not impact my boarding the next leg of my flight! I have read some not so nice reviews and DISAGREE completely! I will fly Spirit happily whenever I can when they fly in the areas I need to go! I like saving money and Spirit makes it easy! The reduced price seat bidding upgrades is great! I was able to get premium seating on all four flights at reduced pricing via that offering! Note, the only reason I did not give 5's across the board was I did not need or want the in-flight WIFI and only had carry-on bags so can't comment on those..

The flight staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a person next to us who was very scared to be flying but they explained everything to her including that since where we were landing is in a "hole" it always has turbulence when landing and not to worry. They said if you don't see us being worries then, you have nothing to fear. It was nice because it really put her at ease.

Absolutely terrible service and incompetent staff. I was never notified of my original flight being delayed three hours. I was however notified 12 times of my connecting flight being delayed. Was forced to sit on the plane in the taxi area behind my connecting flight for ten minutes while we waited for our gate to open. Spirit had one person staffed for an entire plane of people who needed new connections but they refused to hold a connecting flight for 30 more seconds so that people could make their connection. They then forced us all to wait 9 hours sleeping on the flour because they wouldn’t let us onto the plane they delayed us from getting on. I will never fly Spirit again and I hope they’re out of business soon all their employees are incredibly rude and act like their laziness is your fault.

CONFIRMATION # LLW4WA - Purchased insurance with my ticket. Had death in the family and tried to change the ticket. I ended up cancelling the ticket instead because spirit wanted to charge an additional $119 to change the ticket. They charged me an additional $44.20 to cancel and told me to call Travel Guard for a reimbursement. Travel Guard tells me that the death of my first cousin is not covered. So now I’m s.o.l.. Did not get a refund for the airline ticket or the cancel fee. I never fly Spirit because of past horrible experiences but was making a very quick trip with no luggage and thought I would try it. DON’T DO IT!!! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THE INSURANCE IS A SCAM. EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR THE INSURANCE, THEY HAVE ONLY CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE COVERED. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS ONLY ABOUT MAKING A BUCK.

This is the worst airline to travel. Honestly, travel by foot if you have to, but not on this plane. They do not have refund policies, all they can do is reimburst you on your upcoming flight with them within 180 days. So if you’re not planning to fly again within 180 days using Spirit, you basically loose your money. They have this annoying tune at the back that starts as soon as you land, and will not stop unless the airplane is connected to a gate. In my case, the airplane couldn’t find a gate for over 60 minutes, and all that while this ridiculous tune kept one playing. Moreover, when I complained about it to their air hostess cause it was giving me a headache, they were super rude about it, told me this is not an emergency for which I called them, its not their problem and they can do nothing about it.

Planned a three day trip to Vegas. Flew Spirit out of Detroit. The flight was delayed 9+ hours. Boarding should have occurred on or about 9:20 pm on June 1 with a take off of 10:02 pm. The flight took off at 6:20 am the following morning June 2. Frustrated customers were given the choice for refund or to book on another Spirit Flight. Customers were so angry with the gate agents and Spirit for the delays, lack of communication and overall attitude that local police were brought to the gate to supervise Spirit's shenanigans. No food vouchers, no hotel vouchers, rebook a flight, only Sprit was offered. Tried to resolve with customer service. No response from Spirit's CEO, and Spirit's customer service agent was useless. During the process of dealing with customer service, I had booked a flight with Spirit in September for which I asked them to cancel and refund. Even with all the issues, they would only provide a credit for the flight and charged a $69 cancellation fee.

Worst customer service area. Canceled our origins flight to Cancun less than 4 hours before and rebooked us on a flight two hours earlier than the first that we almost missed. Sent us across country, causing us to lose a day of our vacation. On flight home, sat in check in lines forever and they closed boarding for our flight 5 minutes early and wouldn’t let us on even though we were within the time window. Rude and unhelpful. Spent 18 hours trying to get home because of it. Worst experience ever. Also after all the fees, baggage costs, seat prices and costs of beverages and food on flight including the time we lost on our vacation and extra day off work, we should have just paid more for a better reliable experience on delta.

The absolute worst airline there is. Wouldn't let us check our bags because we were literally 1 minute late. Then the plane sat on the tarmac for an hour. We had to book another flight. The lady at the counter was rude and unhelpful. I had a lap child and there is nowhere to note that when booking. I called the airport and it was impossible to get anyone on the phone. When I showed up for my flight, like they told me to, and they would handle the lap child at check-in...they made a huge deal about it saying I should have taken care of it before my flight, which I TRIED to do. Another flight got canceled 5 minutes before boarding. They didn't know when we could get another flight so we DROVE home across the country with 12 people in a van we had to rent. They nickel and dime for baggage, seats, and anything else they can. You. end up paying more. Save yourself the hassle and just fly Southwest instead.

Horrible customer service. Daughters flight was canceled due to “no pilot” after waiting and the flight being delayed for 8 hours. Then would not help with rebooking, no hotel voucher, nothing. Absolutely horrible. Our 4 am flight was “delayed” until 6, and then cancelled. After canceling our flight because of the “climate” (but there were no storms on the forecast until later in the week), they offered only to change our flights to one 4 days later. They didn’t put us in a hotel or Airbnb (even for one night to be able to make other plans) nor did they give us a food voucher for the airport (which is like the minimum they could do).

Do not be lured by the ''bargain'' price. Nothing about Spirit Airlines is a bargain. You will end up paying way more as they charge you for luggage and other amenities after they mess up your flight. They cancel flights just hours before it is supposed to leave. You will find yourself stuck in the airport trying to get another flight from them. And even though it is they who cancel your flight, they will refuse to give a refund. On top of that, say the next available flight is tomorrow (normal airlines will give you a hotel, taxi, and per diem) ... Spirit expects you to sleep on the airport floor and pay the outrageous airport prices for food as you wait for your next Spirit flight. Their employees are poorly trained, rude, and incompetent. Essentially Spirit is a predatory airline company. ... UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF AND WANT TO HAVE THE WORST TRIP EXPERIENCE IN YOU LIFE, STAY AWAY!

The worst airline! I could not check in on a flight to Colombia because I did not have a return ticket (which other airlines like AA don’t require) so I took a few minutes next to the counter to purchase the ticket and when I returned, the flight had closed. After about 5 hours of calls, I only could get credit but imposible to get a refund. Fraudsters!

Utterly the worst flight ever! Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low-cost carrier airline but they end up putting extra changes so you end up paying more. This was the 'WORST' experience because: 1. The flight was delayed for approx. 2 hours. 2. They have the worse in-flight services and no hygiene. 3. The seats were uncomfortable and at night and I couldn´t sleep because of that. Also, there was small sharp light above my seat that was broken – it was not possible to switch it off! So the light was shining on me all night. Thus I booked my return flight ticket with Delta airline which was a little steeper thus I booked it through an online flight booking portal as it offered unpublished fare prices for extra savings! Please don't book any flight with Spirit Airlines but if you face any situation like me contact +1-888-720-1433 for cheap return flights.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you can avoid using Spirit Airlines, AVOID IT. I never never dealt with more incompetent customer service reps who care less about the customer. We booked a flight going into Ohare, Illinois before the governor put all the restrictions in. I understand the cancellation policy, but this is very much an extenuating circumstance. Instead of trying to win my business, take care of me, or communicate in a charitable manner, the reps were extremely rude on the phone, kept talking over me, repeating themselves incessantly, and refused to give any real solution outside of a credit with severe limitations, AND that credit was not even the full amount of the fare? Seriously? A money hungry business like this does not deserve your business. There are better airlines who actually CARE about their customers and are giving refunds during the pandemic. With Covid affecting how people operate, you would think Spirit would take notice and actually start refunding fares under circumstances where the state starts closing off travel, but when a company cares more about money than the customer, people lose. YOU WILL LOSE. Stay away from this awful airline.

I bought a cheap ticket to Guatemala with two different airlines. The one coming back was with Spirit. I went to go check in for my departure 24 hours before I was going to go back and my flight status said canceled. They said it had been canceled due to something with my card but when we called the bank they said they approved the purchase. They still canceled it and didn't tell me at all. They never sent an email letting me know, they let me fly to Guatemala with no way home. All they could do was help my husband buy another flight for me, the original flight was $129 and this ticket was $280 Because it was bought the day before, but he had to buy it to get me home.10 minutes later I got an email saying that my flight had been canceled, and i could check in for my new flight. THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW!!!!!!!

RUN, do not walk away from this airline. They advertise cheap tickets to lure you in and then charge you extreme prices, to include your carry-on, ANY checked lugagge, beverages, seating and wherever else they can, so your expense is equal or even greater compared to other airlines. In addition, the seating is VERY cramped--my husband tried to use a laptop on the plane and he was unable to open it completely, hence he was unable to get any work done. The seats are paper thin: everytime the person behind me accessed their seat pocket, I got a butt rub or rather butt shove. Someone in a seat in front of us put it somewhat well. This is not a plane! Its a bus. But then I have been on many buses that were much more comfortable.

Steer clear of spirit airlines. Got water spilled on me from a passenger from behind. On the way back screaming unruly children. It was super loud my five year old even commented as she sat there quietly. The child ahead of us threw liquid and food all over that the people beside me relocated to another seat. He hit me on the head right on my barrette which did hurt and he was screaming loudly too. I paid $43 US for my checked luggage to and from my destination from Seattle to Atlanta. On the way back my checked luggage was slightly over 40lbs and they charged another $30 US The seats were tight and uncomfortable. Not even water was given on the flight. The boarding agents were incredibly rude and mean. My carry on was 18x14x8 the wheels were slightly over so they charged another $65US which is way more in Canadian funds I could have taken a nice less milk run flight with less money and hassles then this awful rip off Spirit airlines. I will never ever fly with them again absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Not just about in-flight experience, but overall Spirit experience/what I witnessed: Rudest flight attendant ever, bossy, snippy, unprofessional. Pilots told passengers over the intercom to be patient because they've had a long day too. Arrived on time but was late for connecting flight because we sat on the airstrip for an hour. Crew first told us it was due to weather, then admitted it was due to construction. Waited 4 hours to rebook, then they would not get us home for 2 days, offer hotel vouchers, or book with other airline. Entire flight missed connections and were left to sleep on the floor in the Spirit terminal. Promised a refund through FB Messenger (I have screenshots) and when I continued to ask them for the status they blocked me. Will not ever fly with them again. Cheap flights not so cheap when paying for lodging & not worth the extremely poor service.

this is a questionably safe airline (not IOSA certfied). they lie about costs at every turn. you will pay more to fly underhanded-spirit if you have anything that qualifies for a charge, which is everything. bags, personal items, food and drinks and snacks. im surprised they dont charge for bathroom access. if you ever sit in a middle seat on on of their brick hard park bench seats you will get a deep vein thrombosis. also if you miss a connection or a connecting flight or anything you are screwed. and if spirit misses a leg due to mechanical failure it is possible to become stranded for days as they work through getting you on the next flight which is always packed like a sardine can. this is a miserable experience and if you want to be feel like the most low level low life person on earth take a flight with spirit. its horrible. im not a communist but this kind of behavior should not be allowed.

If I could I would give them zero stars. This airline is filled with thieves. I frequently travel for business and leisure and I have never come across such a terrible experience EVER in my life. I bought a ticket for round trip a week before my departure(3/11/2019) I got a pending confirmation number in my email from the Spirit Airlines themselves. When I arrived at the airport, I approached the check in desk, where I was told by disrespectful workers of the airline that my flight was never booked and I would have to pay TRIPLE the price as well as pay extra money for my carryon because it was wheels(???????). Intead of honoring my reservation as well as many seats were available on the plane, they instead took advantage of me and my situation made me pay triple the cost. Please HEED MY WARNING. They was using a tactic to gain for money knowing many people are in the airport already and have no other choice but to cave in to the demands.

Mr. Fornaro, Recently due to a contagious illness, I was forced to cancel my flight. I am unsure of when I will be able to travel again. Offering a travel certificate is UNACCEPTABLE Spirit does not fly from my home airport nor to any destinations I wish to travel in the future. Spirit is NOT concerned with the safety of their passengers! The only acceptable solution is to provide a complete refund to my credit card. I will continue to post to social media until a full and complete refund is credited to my charge card. Is the $112 worth hundreds of lost consumers that will read my posts and not even consider Spirit any longer. Remember we have choices

Spirit is the worst. Tiny, horribly uncomfortable seats jammed close together, which don't even recline because Spirit's jamming so many seats in their planes. Indifferent staff who treat you like cattle. Plus, it's not even that good of a deal. The price you got quoted (on Expedia, Google, wherever) is NOT what you're paying. Spirit scams you at every turn. $55 dollars here (carry on bag for example), $55 dollars there (they charged you for your bags again! Good luck getting that money back, even though it's truly a scam, "Customer Service" admits they just don't make refunds! Ever!). Suddenly, you've flown on the bus with no bumper shocks and the chicken in the crate is squawking next to you, and the wheels have come off the bus … and, congratulations, you might as well have booked first-class on the competitor. Seriously. Spirit Scams You.

We booked this flight because it was the cheapest we could find for that day during the holidays. My boyfriend and I were traveling to visit family for the holidays. My great grandmother passed away shortly before we went to visit and she had left behind a few items for us. It was unexpected and so when we brought 2 carry ons to the airport they charged us $135 for 2 carry ons. That is more than the price of our flight! I called the customer service line to see if they could help me with this unexpected need for carry ons which resulted in crazy charges and spoke with two different people who said that is our guidelines. That is unbelievable the amount they charge for carry on bags when almost ALL other airlines allow a free carry on per person and cost of the flights are the same! I will never fly with Spirit again. The agents did not want to even help us. I work in hospitality too and understand there are guidelines, but if you are not willing to help two customers a little then you are fine with loosing 2 customers for a lifetime! Book with Frontier or another airline, the costs of flights are the same and you get a free carry on. Spirit just wants to screw you and get as much money out of you. There company "Guidelines" dont care about there customers and I hope will go out of business by loosing customers who will never book with them again.

Recently I had made a flight reservation to fly to Vegas and back with a passenger. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency come up and had to cancel. I stayed on the phone with your customer department for over an hour and half. I was transferred, hung up on, and had to ask for someone who could actually speak clear English. Upon telling them that I needed to cancel the flight, I was told that there was a cancellation charge and that it was over $100 for each person and that there would be an extra cancellation fee adding up to over $79.00. I asked if there was a way to just change the flight to a different date so I wouldn't lose any money over something that I have no control over. After Joshua looked up dates in January I was told the same exact fees for cancelling would be applied to moving the flight. I asked to speak with his manager and was then told "this is the end of the line", I asked what the name of his manager was and was told Charlie, I asked if Charlie had a last name and was told he would not give me his last name nor would he transfer me to speak with anyone else period. This is robbery camouflaged as company policy. The fact remains that I paid for a service from your airlines and due to unforeseen circumstances had to cancel that service and now am being robbed of my money and time that I had to spend on the phone with the merry-go-round customer service. I understand a cancellation fee of maybe $25.00 for the inconvenience on the business of having to put the seats back up for sale but the fact remains that I received no service and therefore should not be paying your company to do absolutely nothing but give me the run around. This is an absolute outrage and downright a shame that a business is allowed to commit such monetary atrocities to any citizen but especially to one's that have family emergencies arise. I am appalled by the manner in which the customer relations is handling this and frankly will be letting everyone know what type of service to expect from an airline that boasts itself to be the cheapest. I now know better and frankly, will never fly on spirit airlines or pay for anything having to do with spirit airlines.

My wife and I joined my college-age son on a trip from Chicago to Peru this past summer. Spirit airlines not the airport, not the weather, not a mechanical issue cancelled our first leg with less that 4 hours notice from departure with no explanation and would not help us in any way get to Miami to catch our connecting flight to Lima. After waiting on hold 30 minutes to speak to a rep who told me he was based in the Philippines offered to re-book us to Miami 2 weeks later! Spirit had another flight to Miami that night and could have bumped one of those passengers with no connecting flight to catch. We were left stranded in Chicago and left on our own to get to Miami by 6 am to catch our connecting flight to Lima at 6 AM. We had to drive 90 miles north to the Milwaukee airport to get the only flight on a different airline that could get us to Miami in time. This was a huge additional cost. It took Spirit 4 weeks to refund the Chicago to Miami leg. Then they tried to charge us an upcharge for checking a bag at the Lima airport instead of online when there was no option to check a bag on their stupid website in Peru. And boy I tried a bunch of times. Finally, my wife needed water to take her medications on board and they wanted to charge her for water to take her medications! But "A cup of ice is always free." Do not expect any sort of courtesy or caring service from this unscrupulous carrier. Never again will we fly Spirit. By the way, their frequent flyer program deletes all you earned miles every 3 months unless you get their credit card in which case you must make a purchase every month to keep your miles alive. This in my experience is the worst miles program in the industry -- the odds stacked against the passenger. Good luck finding the fine print and information you need on their website, in waiting on hold an average of 30 minutes to speak to someone who will be of no help anyway and good luck in using those earned miles. Seats are hard plastic with vinyl cover. Its no value for your money when your flights are cancelled and you have to pay double at the last minute to another carrier.

My flight from Tampa to Cleveland, Ohio (Flight 178) on Saturday (12/09/2017) was canceled due to weather but there was no snow, storm or any bad condition that would cause a flight cancellation. As a matter of fact I checked and no other flight to Cleveland for that day was canceled. They offered to send me on Tuesday or refund me. My refund was only $28 out of $250 that I paid for round trip. They claimed my ticked price for return was $28 and they didn't refund what I paid for my seat, my baggage or any fees. Spirit uses this scam to stay in business and that is how they can offer lower prices. A plain full of people, about 300 or more, were stranded just so Spirit can make money. I had to pay $180 for a car rental and drive 20 hours to get home.

After booking round trip tickets for a recent trip I read less than complimentary reviews of Spirit Airlines. I want to provide some balance to the comments of other travelers in stating that our booking and flight experiences were the most enjoyable that we've had in all of our air travels. With the added fees for exit row seats and a carry on bag, the ticket prices were still very reasonable. The in flight service and departure and arrival times were spot on. Nothing but a happy flyer here.

This is the second time I have flown with Spirit. I had a horrible experience the first time so I should have learned my lesson. EVERY part of the experience was terrible. Their website crashed while I was trying to check in. So I had to call them. They hide their customer service phone number. I finally found it. Then, they were going to charge me a premium for making arrangements by phone. I hung up and tried online again. It worked that time. I had to pay for my seat and $40 for ONE bag. The overall cost was now more than Southwest, which I should have booked in the first place. I got to the airport to check my bag and the representative was very rude. She wouldn't pull up my information with my driver's license and demanded I show her the boarding pass on my email instead. Very rude about it. I paid a little extra for a business class seat. It wasn't very comfortable and it wouldn't recline. During the flight, the lady behind me kept kicking my seat. I gave her a look to stop but she kept doing it. I then asked for a cup of coffee and they said it was $2.00. NOTHING is complimentary with Spirit. If you pay their fare, reserve a seat, and pay for baggage, they are NO cheaper than other airlines. If you like terrible service, random seating, and don't take any baggage, Spirit is the airline for you.

I was scheduled to take a %am fit out of Boston on Sept 11th, 2017. The flight was cancelled due to bad weather. Customer service then rescheduled a flight the same day from Boston to Myrtle Beach via Cleveland. There were many others on the flight from Boston to Cleveland headed to Myrtle Beach , as well. When we arrived in Cleveland we were informed that the flight to Myrtle Beach was cancelled. I was then told that a flight out to Myrtle Beach would not be available until Fri. Sept 15th. After a lengthy discussion, I was told that they would fly me back to Boston ( I had a place to stay there) and I rebooked a flight out for Thurs Sept 14th. I was not given a confirmation code nor did I have an email sent to me regarding my flight info. I called the customer service line and the message was the wait would be about 40 minutes. For those trying to reach Spirit- use selection #4, as it is for new reservations. that wait time was only 1 minute. I spoke to customer service and wanted info on my flight and how to get my boarding pass printed out at home. I was informed that I had to do it at the kiosk the next morning. I spent about 30 minutes trying to explain to the rep that I just wanted my seat assignment. I purchased a big seat and wanted to know if a refund would be given if I was not able to have a big seat available to me. I was told that I was given a big seat the previous flight and that they would not longer honor my seat request. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that no one could help me from the call center, that I would have to go to the airport and stand in line and have my flights rescheduled. I explained that I suffer from chronic pain and that standing is very hard for me. I need a wheel chair and would prefer to do this via phone. I was then told that my only option was a refund. When I asked again for a supervisor to the supervisor of the supervisor, the girl hung up on me. An hour later, I was sent an email that my flight to Myrtle Beach was canceled for Sept 14. I called customer service again, this time I was told there was bad weather anticipated in Myrtle Beach and the flight needed to be cancelled. This was not true. Then I was told that there was mechanical difficulty. Again, I had to explain my situation and was told that I qualified for a refund. The customer service rep said that no, I did not qualify. I was offered a flight again to Cleveland then to Myrtle Beach. The problem was, I saw that the flight to Cleveland was canceled as well. ( it is no wonder) Spirit had a lot of customers stranded in Cleveland going to Myrtle Beach. I saw a flight to Baltimore then onto Myrtle Beach, but, was told, that was not possible to do via phone, I would have to go to the ticketing area at the airport. As I was talking to customer service, my son found a flight with American Airlines. I explained that and asked for a refund. I was then told, I did not qualify since I was not able to take the available flights offered to me via Spirit. Really- they wanted me to wait another week? Are you kidding me? The customer service staff are poorly trained, is not user friendly and very limited in knowledge of their industry. There is a real lack of caring and concern for the customer. If you are considering Spirit as an airline please think again.

Just took a round trip from Atlantic City to Orlando using Spirit. Had no problems. I didn't buy anything extra when booking my flight. I brought a free personal suitcase that met Spirit's new measurements for a free bag to be stowed under the seat in front of you. Seats are uncomfortable, but do-able for a 2 hour flight. (Although, I did buy a can of Sprite for $3.00 while on flight - You are allowed to bring your own food and drink on the flight.) BUT, if you MUST be a particular place at a specified time, book your flight on another airline to be safe. You can't count on Spirit or it's a 50/50 chance it will work out perfect. My previous trip with them a couple of years ago was a nightmare, but thought I'd roll the dice with them again this past trip due to the low cost of the flight.

Spirit is the worst airlines ever. I bought my son Andrew Blinn-Brown a ticket from Baltimore to Seattle on 6 August 2017. He checked in an hour and a half early for the flight got to the gate 30 minutes early and the gate was closed. The plane sat for 30 minutes while 7 passengers plus my son waited. After the plane left, the gate agent Kai admitted she had made a mistake and closed the gate early Andrew was rebooked on a flight to Las Vegas then Seattle arriving at 1AM instead of 10AM. A day wasted, waiting in an airport and a night sleeping on an airport bench- no food or hotel voucher despite Spirit's admitted mistake. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone talking to customer service Armam, someone who wouldn't give their name and Katie and no one could help. One of the passengers was in tears because the same thing happened to her 2 days ago and they charged her an additional $99 to book this flight that she missed. Will never fly Spirit again!

Avoid this airline. The ticket price may be cheap, but by the time you pay for checked bags/carry-ons and in-flight refreshments, you may very well end up losing money. I'm surprised they weren't charging to use the bathrooms on the plane. The planes are crowded and uncomfortable, the flight crews are inexperienced and unprofessional. Spend a few extra dollars and fly with a different carrier - you won't be sorry. Customer service is terrible - I was being hammered by emails advising me to check in online, pay for preferred seating and baggage, then the website conveniently malfunctioned after I entered my payment information. What made the least sense was the stop in Detroit on a flight from Seattle to Atlanta - everybody got off the plane and stood around the gate waiting to get back on the same plane - the only end result was adding time to an already long flight. If I could give them negative ratings, I would.

I'm sorry this was my first and last experience with Spirit.. If this is your first time flying with this company your not told that you have to purchase assigned seating, carry on and other fees until after you purchase the tickets.. I was flying to Orlando Fl on 8/4/17 after being told our fight was delayed for a numerous of times, we were then instructed that the flights to Florida was cancelled because of lack of enough crew ..there weren't any flights or connecting fights they can put us on u til 8/8/17..worst first time experience

WoW is all I can say! Think twice before trying to save money! Our flight on July 20 was delayed 2 1/2 hours. Wee weren't notified until we were an hour from the airport. We waited 5 hours as a result in the airport. They compensated us with $50 vouchers each for a future flight. When we flew home they REFUSED to let us use those vouchers. Funny! The customer service personnel n SUPERVISORS were rude and unwilling to do anything. Treated me like I was stupid and couldn't understand English! Filling a complaint with the BBB! Neve again! It's an al a carte airline. They say cheap flights but charge you for everything seperately

You wrote a review for Spirit Airlines 13 minutes ago 1.0 star rating 7/27/2017 I scheduled a round trip flight back in Feb for this airlines for July through Expedia for myself and my daughter; one day before my fight I received an e-mail about checking my bags and getting assigned seating from Spirit. I contacted the airlines and they said I was not seated next to my child; I would need to pay $50.00 more. I was also told if my bag was bigger than a computer bag I would need to pay an additional $25.00 a bag for myself and my daughter; if it was bigger and I did not do it online or on the phone, it would cost $100.00 each bag at the airport. I paid the additional $100.00 to make sure this didn't happen. After I paid, I looked into my fight and realized the only one way was taken care of. I called up and was told I needed to pay an additional $100.00 to be seated next to my daughter and for my baggage. Also, for your boarding pass, they wanted to charge me an additional $10.00 per pass at the gate which was an additional $20.00 each way. I checked in online and was sent the passes to my e-mail online; they did not send the passes. I had to go back to their website to get my pas

Buyer beware the hidden cost on Spirit Airlines is absolutely outrageous. If you do not check in by Internet you will be paying fees of $30 or $10 extra. Also if you want to sit with someone they charge you $20 extra considering this is the plane that has no first class and see there and eat everywhere you're being charged to sit together is out rages and plus the fact they charge you $50 per bag is totally ridiculous a flight that was given to us for $137 ended up to be $650 per person absolutely ridiculous I could have flown with Delta Airlines for half of the cost not even had extra charges of sitting next to someone or signing in I will never ride this airline again

First of all, we choose Spirit because it was the cheaper option, but unfortunately it became a hell expensive option. Me and my wife hated it! We had to pay for the luggage (ok) but even for our seats? I mean... what the heck! And then a DOG POOPED ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND THE OWNER WAS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ME!!!! Yes! I was sitting on the 15e/15f and the guy was sitting on 15g!! The seats didn't recline, and they moved the people in front of us because of the smell but they didn't offered us the same courtesy. So, it was a terrible experience for a Honeymoon trip!!! My wife was disgusted, I WAS DISAPPOINTED because this was supposed to be great!! And it wasn't at all, The money extra that you guy took it from us was even worse... honestly I don't know what was the worst part of Spirit Airlines. I'm just disappointed and frustrated. And be sure, we will never, EVER tell someone to pick you guys because you're cheaper because it's NOT! At all!!! It became an expensive experience. And it became emotionally and physically disturbing beginning to our trip. We are dreading the flight back with Spirit. We wish we had choosen American Airlines for 13 more dollars.

Flew from PDX to MCI, via Las vegas. Landed in Vegas and was told that our connecting flight was cancelled. After a 4 hour ordeal in ticket line and counter, was given ticket to MCI, via New Orleans. Was supposed to be direct flight from Vegas. Also, Spirit lost our baggage that had medication which both the wife and I needed. When we got to MCI, we received an email offering a 50 dollar coupon. 8 hour delay, standing in line for 4 hours, added 3 more hours of flight time, and delay our trip be total of 12 hours. DONT FLY SPIRIT AIRLINES.
