Carpatair is a charter and ACMI airline that was established in 1999. It was initially connecting various Eastern with Western European cities, and it has grown to focus on providing air travel solutions from Italy, Germany, Great Britain, France, and Greece to under-served or less accessible areas in Romania, Ukraine, and Moldova. The airline's base has historically been located in Romania, at Timisoara. Operating several regular daily flights based on the concept of hub & spoke until 2014, Carpatair was the first airline in the region to use this model.

Carpatair’s development through the years has been marked by strategic alignments and partnerships with other airlines to enhance its connectivity and operational capabilities. In the last ten years, the company has also made significant efforts to modernize the operations,​ to offer charter solutions for corporations, sport teams, music bands, governments, tour-operators and pilgrimage, as well as ACMI capacities, adapting to the evolving aviation landscape.

The fleet of Carpatair is composed now of Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 (after having used SAAB340, SAAB2000, Boeing, Fokker70, and Fokker100). The aircrafts are suitable for short and medium haul flights in Europe and beyond, being configured to optimize both passenger comfort and operational efficiency. Over the years, the airline has maintained a focus on reliability and safety in its fleet operations, adhering to both international and local aviation standards. Regarding services, Carpatair places a significant emphasis on customer experience. It offers a range of services tailored to enhance customer satisfaction. The airline's service portfolio includes various tailored Ad-Hoc charter and ACMI flight solutions meant to accompany customers in the realization of their travel agendas.
