I flew from Vancouver to Montreal and on to Lyon, France. The return was from Edinburgh, Scotland, via London to Vancouver. With this disjointed itinerary I was pleased that the fare was similar to a straight return to Edinburgh. The food outbound from Montreal was significantly better than average transatlantic fare. On the return from London, the food was at or below average. Pity; on these long flights the quality of the food is important.
