My fiance and I had booked a short flight from Athens to Istanbul where we would be catching a connecting flight to Singapore. The AEGEAN flight was extremely delayed and this resulted in us missing our international connecting flight to Singapore. Instead of putting us on a flight and sorting us out with accommodation or even offering us food or drink, we were simply sat down and made to wait on standby for 12 hours. Around 3am the morning when all possible flights were full and there were no other options for AEGEAN they sent us to a hotel to sleep for 4 hours. Upon returning to the airport the next day we were told there were in fact no seats booked for us. We waited till flight was loaded and were issued seats apart from each other. Although we planned to be back in Singapore on Sunday morning so we could both rest before heading into work we arrived at 6am Monday morning having to rush home then to work with 4 hours sleep in two days! AEGEAN have refused to make up for it, choosing to ignore my communication. If this is the way they treat clients due to their own mistakes then I truly feel they need to improve their service in regards to their delays and the repercussions thereof.
