China Southern review by Roberta 2015-12-07

We recently took 4 economy class flights with China Southern. The leg space is very narrow and the seats very hard (I sat on my blanket, which helped a bit). Pillows were offered only on the long 10 hour+ flights. The washrooms were kept clean and well stocked. The food was satisfactory, although the main dishes were always mixed up - if you asked for pork/fish you received chicken and vice versa, but both were palatable. Red and white wine were available for the asking, but seconds for anything were never offered. Received unfriendly service on the Vancouver to Gaungzhou flight only; the service on the return flight was good and very good to and from Delhi. The same movies were offered on both long international flights even though travel was taken over a 2-month period. The headphone connection is located in a poor spot on the 787 plane. Choose the last 2 rows of seats in economy if possible to get the extra space open by the window. We did feel safe on our flights. Takeoffs and landings were excellent. There was only one 30 minute delay in takeoff. EDITORS COMMENT: Thanks for sharing your flight experience - there's definitely still room for improvement for this airline but they are getting there.
