Lufthansa review by Patrick 2015-10-20

Flew round trip Chicago-Frankfort-Kiev in July, 2015. Very crowded 787 ORD-FRA but a great, experienced crew kept everything running smoothly. Food was good and free beer and wine were most appreciated. Seats were fine except when row in front reclined, then became very cramped. Flight to KBP on 737 (?) had more spacious seating but the food was terrible. Some kind of omelette, I think... Return flight from Kiev had same lousy food. Departed late though captain did a great job of keeping everyone informed (not easy in two languages). 1h 15m connection time in FRA became 45 minutes, and included a terminal change and going through security again. Lufthansa staff at the gate was demeaning about our last moment arrival. On board staff was not nearly as smooth or friendly as the outbound flight but got the job done. High points included the in flight entertainment and flight information available on the screens. Would definitely use Lufthansa again. EDITORS COMMENT: Thanks for the positive feedback. It's always great to hear of flights where the captain keeps the passengers informed - at the end of the day we just want to know what's going on really.
