Air Canada review by mary 2016-05-27

We were not allowed to carry on our bag. The gate agent said the carry on exceeded the required size however every other airline we've used (Air New Zealand, Tahiti Air, Iberia, British, and all US carriers) have allowed the exact same bag and in fact an identical bag was in the overhead of this flight from SFO to Toronto (the overheads were virtually empty). This was only a problem because there were items we could not afford to be without in Italy if bags did not arrive with us. Once in Toronto we were met by the rudest gate agent I've ever met. I asked what the long line in front of his desk was for and he told me to get in it and find out. Seriously. There are serious personnel problems.
