My girlfriend and I flew round trip St.Louis to Denver for a ski trip at Keystone. The flight to Denver was fine- nothing amazing, but a tolerable flight for those on a budget. The way back was another story. Short version due to character limit: Due to a friend's injury, 2 days of inclement weather, closed highways, an icy mountain-pass detour, rush hour traffic, and the check-in line, we miss the 45 minute checked bag cutoff time by literally 4 minutes. We're told so by a rude, almost smug employee, who seems to be enjoying not helping us. It's $99 per person to change to the flight in 24 hours - or go to Southwest, who immediately gets us tickets, loads our bags (within 30 minutes of departure), and does so in a caring, friendly way. Frontier always chooses your money: before customer service, customer loyalty, or common decency. Never again.
