Jetstar review by Rhys 2013-10-23

Last week my family flew Jetstar from the Gold Coast to Perth. I had never flown Jetstar before so was a bit apprehensive about the service, clientele and whether we'd leave on time. I am happy to say that my fears were unfounded. The plane left early and actually arrived in Perth before the scheduled time. The service at checkin was excellent and fast. The plane appeared to be very new. Of course the standard meals are not provided but to be honest the kids are fussy and won't eat it anyway so we brought our food with us and then bought some chocolate bars on the plane. No problem. In some ways it's better because you don't overeat. We hired 2 Ipads for the four of us and they gave us splitters so we could share the devices on our headphones. These have much better pictures than the seat back screens other airlines have. There was an incident on the plane where a passenger appeared to have collapsed and the flight attendants were treating him with oxygen etc. Luckily there was a paramedic on board that took charge. I'm not sure if the flight crew would have handled it as well if they were left to handle it on their own. Nevertheless all was well and i'm happy to say i'll fly with them again.
