Economy Class

Had to fly back home early for my sick wife in hospital and young son stuck with friends. The customer service person did an awesome job setting me up with the best possible fare for an early return flight. I'm sure he had no assistance from A/C, flights started almost twice as much but he did a great job shaving it down to almost half of the original cost. The seats are tiny in the 777. I'm not a big guy, average 180 lbs 5.10. Not main complaint. I had to cancel a further flight that was planned for my wife and son three days later and was advised the re-booking fee would be two hundred dollars. No refund. I wasn't asked why I had cancelled nor did the call taker sound remotely interested or care why. This lack of customer service with A/C isn't anything new when dealing with them, taking more money from the small guy (who doesn't even fit in their seats) is the only thing that matters. This complaint as many others will go nowhere as I am fully aware of as Canadians have limited choice with airlines. My hope is if one person reads this post and decides to go with another airline good for them and I know they will get more satisfaction out their servic then I did. EDITORS COMMENT: Every airline would charge you the same unless you had a flexible ticket and even then there would probably be a charge.
