Sydney to London and Dubai to Sydney. October 16. Check in staff were a bit unhelpful when trying to get the seats we wanted but once on the plane, the crew were all very professional and assisted where they could. The food was better than you would expect in economy but the selection of movies was a little disappointing. What I do find annoying and I'm sure Qantas is not the only airline that do this, is the way they black out the cabin (that is turn out the lights and close the shutters) in daylight hours. Overnight flights are bad enough without making them longer then what they really are. I wonder if any of the readers feel the same way. We flew Emirates from Vienna to Dubai and I didn't think they were as good as Qantas. I always feel i'm in safe hands when I fly with Qantas.
