my wife and i went on our honeymoon to cancun in May 2014. on our way back we stopped in houston for a 2 hour layover... we ended up being stuck there for 6 hours!!! the reason? the united airline's workers got on the wrong flight and ended up in san antonio instead of houston with us so we had to wait till they could get on a flight to houston till we could leave. it was a nightmare and one experience i will never forget because the airline never compinsated us at all for our time, not even in food on the flight home when we finally got to leave. it was as if it were a normal casualty when in all honesty, i fly a LOT mostly with southwest for business and that has NEVER happened to me before. it put a pretty big damper on things that day and we left saying we will never fly United again.
