Economy Class

Suffered freezing cabin temperatures for trips of up to 14 hours. Despite countless requests, no airline hostess/steward seemed able to understand that blankets were not going to help. Then they would forget to adjust the temperature when requested or do it which provided about 5 mins of relief before it went back to freezing..........We also had purchased brand new luggage before our trip. We witnessed both at check-in and at transit stops, our luggage being carelessly tossed thrown onto baggage conveyor belts both by check in staff and baggage handlers. Our new luggage suffered extensive damage as a result. It therefore appears Air Canada staff do not treat passenger baggage in the same respectful and gentle manner that they would treat their own. Finally, the offer the airline makes to try and repair brand new luggage that should not need repairing is a disgrace as is the inconvenient time, forms and photos needed to make a claim. Economy class leg room is fit for sardines or people under 5ft tall. Will never fly with them again.
