The flight attendants/ gate personnel refused to allow many passengers to bring carry-on luggage on to the plane, saying that there was no room in the overhead bins. When we got on the plane there were enough empty bins for most, if not all, of the remaining carry-ons. Lying to passengers is poor customer service. In addition, it took almost half and hour for the baggage to arrive on the carousel at the end of the flight. Also unacceptable.
