Air Canada review by joanna 2016-02-18

I booked the flight with air canada, for 1st time in my life, for my honeymoon to bahamas to September 2016. I paid, received confirmation, and after 2 weeks received a call that they reschedule my flight to different date ! Really? I already paid for my vacation, hotel etc and cannot change the date. They do not care. They said they cannot reschedule my flight with different provider and they do not have anything for my date. They did not care at all ! After 50minutes on the phone, and a lot of stress, finally they agree to cancel my flight and send me refund - they told me it will be refunded up to 8weeks ! Really? I need to book new flight as soon as possible, they do not care if I have extra money for new flight, I cannot wait 8weeks for refund to pay for new flight ! I am very disappointed with air canada and their service. I am telling everybody I know about that experience and I am sure neither me not any of my friends will ever use this provider. EDITORS COMMENT: That is such a frustrating thing to happen to you. The eight week refund is pretty standard across airlines around the world - some are even up to 12 weeks - we don't agree with it but that's what happens.
