My fiance and I booked flight from EWR to MAA in 2015 to get married in India. We had to unfortunately postpone it because his brother in law died unexpectedly. The tickets cost $2100/head. We were rebooking our tickets in 2016 and found that the flights cost $200/head lower. We had to not just forego that, but also had to pay an additional $300/head rebooking fee (which of course we couldn't use against the $200/head we lost because they are a bunch of greedy bastards).
