Recently flew STN-CIA with Ryanair. I have never had a problem with this airline. It is a no frills cheap airline, so don't expect champagne service for a beer price. They will get you from A to B usually on time or early. To avoid any nasty surprises read the fine print, and if you can get away with it, try to make do with cabin baggage only. That will keep the cost down.
