Economy Class

I flew Continental Airlines before they were purchased by United and always had a good experience. As soon as they were purchased by United things changed very rapidly. Prices went up, service and amenities went way way down. Unfortunately I fly with them frequently because their hub is in Newark which is close to where I live. If I had more options to choose other airlines I would steer completely clear of United. 98 % of Gate agents and Flight Attendants are rude and intentionally unhelpful...with a rare pleasant person in between. None of the people working for United have been trained in common decency and the art of treating the customer in a helpful and polite manner. It is also very rare that flights depart or arrive on time. They have restructured the planes to have a little leg room as possible with headrests in the wrong place so that your neck becomes sore. There are no complimentary snacks and the ice in the complimentary drinks tastes odd and stale. Even on 5 hour flights there isn't free entertainment and their wifi service only works about 6% of the time.
