Frontier Airlines review by Mike 2014-03-11

I booked through AMEX travel site. When I went to check in at Frontier, I was informed that choosing seats would cost $8 per person per leg. In order for my family of 5 to sit together the cost would have been $160 for the trip. I was further informed that overhead bin space was $20 and under the plane was $25. To avoid another $160 in fees we had to completely re-pack. None of this was disclosed on the AMEX site. When I called them they indicated that the airlines are responsible for providing fee information and Frontier didn't provide any. When I contacted frontier, they encouraged me to book through their site...never addressed the deceptive practice of providing a lower (not by much) ticket price and charging up to $60 per person in fees (more than offset the cost difference). If I'd known I'd never have flown them. Won't anymore.
