Seriously, DO NOT FLY SAA. I have never been treated so badly in my history of flying. After arriving at the baggage re-check in counter 5 mins late for a connecting flight, the lady at the desk proceeded to tell me that it was my fault for being late and that I had missed the deadline and would have to purchase another ticket, on top of that I had to pay an excess on the baggage I was travelling with. After asking to speak to the manager he came round and checked me onto the flight but I still had to pay excess on my luggage. Bear in mind I had gone from London to Cairo and then Cairo to Johannesburg with my luggage with no trouble, only when I reached SA did they decide I had to pay extra because I had 1 bag weighing 29kg but my allowance was 2 bags at 21kg EACH. After experiencing such rudeness and arrogance from a SAA check in clerk I will never fly SAA again and strongly advise anyone and everyone to avoid SAA AT ALL COSTS!
