I have used KLM for most of my international travel. Unfortunately, last month's trip may be my last one following representative who wanted me to bribe him so that I can take my carry on. Something I haven't heard off. I had checked in luggage on the counter and everything was fine until this agent asked me if I knew that I needed to get my carry-on tagged otherwise pay $200. I told him that I had not heard of it till then. He made me think this rule had just been implemented. When I asked him to direct me where the rule was he said he was not sure but his boss had made that its requirement yet all other travelers had their carry on. He went to a point of holding on my bag because I didn't have the money. He made me call my family member who he expected them to send money asap otherwise I would have to leave the bag. Unfortunately, when I tried to go back to the counter the counter agent said whatever the agent said had to be. To say the least it costed my $100 roaming minutes to try to find a family member that could talk to him to figure out how he could be paid and most of stress which is unnecessarily esp when it's already difficult to leave family and prepare for long trip
