Air New Zealand review by Gary 2015-12-06

Travelled Auckland to Hong Kong with my wife and I in August. Cant really fault their product. We departed from a regional airport at 8pm through to Auckland, with a planned onward flight to Hong Kong departing at midnight. Unfortunately our outbound aircraft from Auckland was delayed 8 hours due to weather. AirNZ put us up in a hotel right onsite at the airport which was fantastic. The Business class seating really is something else. A flat bed with a mattress and duvet. The food and wine was top notch. Because my wife and I wanted to dine together, the steward set up the rear vacant seat and table away from everyone else. That was a really nice touch. After the meal our beds were made up and we had a restful 8 hour sleep. This allowed us to arrive in Hong Kong feeling refreshed. The return trip was much the same. The aircrew were not as friendly and came across a bit abrupt at times, otherwise again a comfortable trip. Our inward flight arrived early so the ground crew happily booked us on an earlier regional fight home. Yes they are a bit more pricey, but AirNZ prove themselves time and time over to be the worlds best. We always choose AirNZ when we fly.
