Not very impressed with Singapore Airlines. In the route Perth - Singapore - Perth they put old planes with outdated entertainment screen. Food was pretty average as well and on my return flight I ended up eating an oily deep fried fish as they ran out of the beef. The person at the check-in was a bit rude and didn't know I could use my Star Alliance Gold status from other company on this flight. Took her 10 minutes to sort it out and she even told me she needed to check if the card was not fake! As I'm a tall guy, I paid an extra $60 for the exit row with extra leg room but the seat was so worn out and it was very uncomfortable, so I spent 5 hours sit on something with no cushion. After complaining and being ignored by two different crew members, the third one at least tried to put a blanket over the seat, which didn't help too much. Complaint via website remains unanswered after two weeks. Not many options on this route but I'd rather fly Qantas than Singapore Airlines. EDITORS COMMENT: There are still a few outdated aircraft flying around but pretty soon you should see an improvement on this (we hope!)
