Oslo - Newark, Chicago - Oslo This is the first time in all my years of flying that no safety information was given at the beginning of the return flight from Chicago. I thought this was mandatory. After the first half hour the captain announced that all of the lavatories on the right side of the plane were nonfunctional--naturally this led to long lines for the entire trip. He said they were going to reset some circuit breakers to try to fix them. This scared my wife because she's not used to flying. Also, the center portion of the cabin (where our seats were) was terribly hot for the entire flight. The cabin crew confirmed this and said it had been like this for several flights--one of them encouraged me to make a complaint. Which I did online 8 days ago and still have not received a reply from them. If at all possible I will avoid SAS in the future and would advise others to do the same. EDITORS COMMENT: There's a reason they are refurbishing their long haul aircraft at the moment - they desperately need it!
