Economy Class

Norwegian is not properly characterised as a budget airline. It's more of a user-pays airline. Yes the tickets are cheaper, and you pay more for luggage and seat-choice, but that just gives you the options. Given most flights within Europe now do not include any form of entertainment, it was a surprise on two short domestic flights within Norway to have TVs (yes they were drop-down from the roof not seat-back, but they were good quality wide-screens and there were plenty (20 down the length of the plane, so about every three rows on each side) as well as side-of-seat radio access. More than that, the aircraft (like all of Norwegian's new 737-800s) possessed free wifi, with the ability to stream TV and flight maps to your electronic device. Although I've been aware of this in Business Class on some long-haul flights from certain airlines, this is the first time I've seen wifi implemented so broadly. Consequently I'm sending this review directly from the flight! When compared to the more expensive alternatives, Norwegian wins hands down.
