Economy Class

Avianca has a newer fleet of planes. We took the flight from Lima to Bogota on to Cartagena. At check in to the airline, we were told to pick up our bags in Bogota. We proceeded and entered the flight and was greeted professionally by the staff. Our flight from Lima to Bogota was not good due to a passenger next to us. We approached a steward about the issue who was rude and ignored our concern. When served a meal we inquired about ingredients due to an allergy. No one was aware of the ingredients though they made an effort to accommodate. Upon arrival at Bogota we waited for 40 minutes for our bags. During that time we spoke to 8 Avianca staff that where there to assist. All indicated that we needed to pick up our bags before our connection. Our next flight departed and we approached the customer service counter for the 3rd time about our bags and where finally advised that we did not have to pick up our bags. We missed our flight and after complaining was put on the next flight 3 hours later. We had to file a claim and they would not give an email and instead insisted we tweet it to them. I wrote an email with the info required screen shot it and tweeted it. No customer service
