Swiss International Air Lines review by James 2014-01-10

Chicago-Zurich A330-300, Zurich-Dubai A330-300; Dubai-Zurich A330-300, Zurich-Chicago A340-300. Overall a very nice experience. The First leg of the trip was on a brand new A330. Nice Cabin. We were booked in all legs is a semi-private cabin separated from the rest of coach. Maybe 6 rows or so if I remember. AVOD system was pretty good and for the most part, kept us all entertained for the 16 hours of flying time. The food was good but my son was dissapointed they did not have swiss cheese on any of the flight. (he's a foodie). Also, the children offerings were slim and the same on all legs which got pretty boring for them. The flights themselves were very smooth but the pitch was tight. if the person in front reclined, you had no choice but the leg room was ok. since it was my wife in front of me, this was ok. The A340 was showing its age somewhat but all planes were very well kept and the staff in air and on the ground were very friendly. 7 hour layover in zurich on the way home but the swiss personel were very helpful (as was an American Airlines agent) to make sure we were not stranded in the international terminal for the whole day. Good experience and I would recommend.
