This was my first experience with Spirit. Did not read all the nasty reviews until after I booked. Duh. But I must say, my experience with cancelling a flight was pretty decent. In fact, might be the best ever. I booked a RT flight for Vegas to Detroit. Changed my mind and needed to cancel. Called their call center and got put on hold. Reading reviews I knew I would be on hold for a while so I decided to try their website while on hold. Had to create an account first, very annoying but only took a minute. Plugged in my reservation code and clicked cancel button. Badda-bing, flight cancelled and full refund issued. So they say. The reason it let me cancel was because I cancelled within 24 hours of booking and flight was 7 days or more away. Good news is that their flight cancellation is web gizmo might be the best in the business. Bad news is, everyone was right, you will never get someone on the phone. I decided to hang on the phone for another few minutes just to see if someone would come on. Hung up after about 15 minutes.
