We got charged for 16 Euros to print 2 boarding passes due to no access to internet 1 day prior to departure. We complained to Ryan Air and the company did absolutely nothing about the charge or the poor customer service at the airport in Milan Bergamo. Following was our complain and Ryan Air's response to our complaint. - We don't believe the boarding pass printing charges was reasonable. We believe the avoid additional charges information and alert mail should be sent out together with flight booking confirmation and preferably before booking the flight. - The charge itself is simply unacceptable from a customer service point of view. No other airline charges boarding pass printing. The terminals at the airports were giving out messages for departure check-in. None of the terminals worked for us and asked us to seek assistance. - Your staff didn't help us check-in for free or get confirmation from us that it's OK to proceed with printing the boarding passes for us. They didn't warned us that if they help us we would have to pay 8 Euros. They went ahead to print the boarding passes then asked us for 16 Euros for 2 tickets. - We don't think sending out emails 1 day prior to departure was reasonable. We live in Canada, we don't live in Milan, we were travelling in Europe. We don't have access to internet for 2 days prior to departure. Even if we have access, we still don't have a printer to print the boarding passes. We believe your company should have provided the boarding pass printing for free like all other airlines. - The alert email said the boarding pass printing is 7 Euros and your staff charged us 8 Euros each for a total of 16 Euros instead of 14 Euros as stated in the alert mail. -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 11/6/14, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: Subject: TID 1530467 Re: General Queries and Complaints To: "Selina Glynn" <[email protected]> Received: Thursday, November 6, 2014, 1:58 PM  Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting Ryanair.   Whilst we sympathise with your view, we regret that our position as set out in our previous email remains unaltered. We are sorry that we cannot be of further assistance with regards to this matter.     Yours sincerely, Andrei The Customer Service Team For and on Behalf of RYANAIR LIMITED    Ryanair Holdings plc (Company No. 249885) / Ryanair Ltd. EDITORS COMMENT: AS in the review below, this is an ultra low cost carrier - they can charge you to print a boarding pass - they can charge you for anything - the airfares are so cheap because all the little extras add up.
