We flew BA business from Helsinki to London on an A320, one of the longer European flights and so perhaps one of the few where the upgrade may be justifiable. The meal was very pleasant, and a step up from nothing in Economy! As with many European airlines, the seats themselves are no different, rather you get the extra legroom and they just don't fill the middle seat in the 3-3 layout. So the extra comfort level is only marginal
