Been flying with then for 12 years so get the perks of a Elite cutomer which I would not pay for. Flew from Auckland to Los Angeles with my family of 6. My husband and I in bussiness which was ok. No pre-drink, no menu had to ask for the lip balm and socks only to be told none left and were given Prem Economy goodie bag (sounds pompous but IF i was paying full Bussiness fare I would be upset). Food was average, Service good. Kids travelled Economy and had an awful flight. Two of my kids Gluten Free meals did not come. When food got to them only one selection left for dinner and breakfast. Service dismal, understaffed and forget if you think you going to have a nice pre-dinner drink before your meal. Meal served then drinks, lucky if you get a 2nd glass of wine with your meal. Whole point is people are usually relaxing and on holliday so pre-drink essential to the mood. I would not pay full price to fly this supposeldly voted airline of the year. This is not the first bad experience we have had and complained the last time direct to airline and still await an answer three years later. AirNZ diffinately cutting all the frills - so lower your expectations ;(
