I had a very disappointing experience with emirates. I have been a travelling musician and always travel with my guitar. Having always put it close to me in the plane I always travel with a softcase. This time I travelled to Boston I was coerced at Karachi airport and given absolutely no choice but to check in my guitar. Knowing the fragility of a guitar it is unacceptable to check it in regardless of all fragile handling protocol an airline may have,A guitar is too sensitive to be checked in. Upon arriving at Boston my guitar was nowhere to be found at baggage claim and after filing a claim it reached me a few days later. And when I unzipped my case I noticed my guitar's headstock is fractured and the guitar has received dents on its body which indicate excessive force regardless of emirates ensuring fragile handling. This has had a very personal scar on me since my music and my instrument is irreplaceable and this airline has put me in this spot. It has been weeks and I have not received any compensation from emirates.
