My wife and we're excited first about traveling to Singapore and secondly going on Singapore Airlines. Our travels started in Louisville, Ky flying to JFK on Delta and then transferring to Singapore to Frankfurt and onto Singapore. We traveled in Business Class and were assured that our four pieces of luggage would be transferred at JFK from Delta to Singapore and in fact the luggage tags were checked through to Singapore . After arriving to JFK I talked to three individuals including the gate agent assuring us that our luggage was ON the plane when in fact it was NOT. When we got to Singapore 21 hours later we were informed that our luggage is still sitting at JFK. We are to get aboard our ship tomorrow with no luggage. They said they would let me know later today if it will be on the plane tonight. This could have been avoided if they would have followed through with what they assured us. Extremely disappointing. The flight was excellent. The food superb and flight staff excellent. Sad they really don't handle the front end very well. Actually JFK Singapore does not have very much awareness there. Hard to find gates and lounge. Overall not happy as we have no luggage.
