A319/320/A330 Sydney-Kathmandu-Sydney via Guangzhou June 2013 The aircraft itself was clean and well maintained. The seats were comfortable enough for economy. For the price we paid, over all satisfaction was fair. No personal entertainment screens. Common Inflight entertainment was poor. Food was terrible. I was offered Fish Rice or Chicken Rice. I asked for Chicken Rice and got Fish rice. When I immediately asked for chicken, the hostess said that actually she didn't have any chicken rice, but I could hear her continually offering it. Turned out, it was neither fish or chicken, it was tofu! Breakfast egg was stinking. I avoided all food in the end for fear of food poisoning! Alcohol is minimal. Don't except anything more than a few sips of cheap wine or a can of beer. The staff could not speak English. It was very hard to communicate. There was an emergency on board. There was one hostess who spoke English well. Instead of using her for the medical emergency announcement, they used someone who could not speak English at all. Arrival cards were not handed out, and we had to ask for them - of which they had very few. Boarding at the gate was chaos.
