I flew from Costa Rica to Brazil and came initially from England. I had a plug converter in my checked baggage and they took it, so when I got to Brazil it was gone. I went to the customer service counter in the airport and they told me to file a claim online. I did so, and was told, basically, too bad, that electronics are not guaranteed to get where you are going. So my $45 converter they took was my problem. I have never had an airline confiscate anything like that. I think that is ridiculous, and uncalled for. They flight itself was fine and the attendants were friendly. But I want my things to actually arrive where I am going. And also, they pretty much blamed me for having electronics in my checked baggage. So I won't be flying with them again.
