What is bad about Air Canada is the expectations that you will get service in Canada's official language. In fact, you don't on most flights. Whereas other airlines such as Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines have several staff who can speak several languages including French, Air canada for some reasons find it hard to have staff to manage to speak both Canada's official languages. I took the flight Sydney- Vancouver . Airfare was good. Reservation is easy through web site. Service at airport desk is poor.. nobody spoke French. n flight service is poor...only one hostess spoke French... the food is barely OK.... EDITORS COMMENT: They can't have all crew on every flight speaking multiple languages - there is usually one person on the flight speaking the native language of the flight route and it sounds like there was in this case one person who spoke French. That's really all they need to have.
