Quite possibly the worst flying experience I've had in over 36 years of flying. Customer service is the WORST. Flight from Dublin to San Francisco was delayed so I missed my connection home to Hawai'i. I received no assistance from any Aer Lingus representatives as to booking a new flight, accommodations, or food voucher. When I went to the gate to request help (after taking care of rebooking on own)I was given the number to the customer care center which was already closed, I was then told by a manager I would have to find accommodation on my own and be reimbursed (although I had been told by a gate agent that a customer service representative was working on finding hotels for those stranded). The next day I called the customer care number to inquire about where to send my receipts for reimbursement and getting an earlier flight back and was told a supervisor would return my call within an hour, five hours and two calls later, no supervisor call back, and was told on the third call there were no supervisors on site until Monday, did not get a name of any supervisor to direct my receipts to just a generic email address. Was delayed an entire 24 hrs in SF with no help- thanks!
